Come and thrill to the excitement of our spinometer as it selects our next film from members’ choices. Each film starts PROMPTLY at 2.00 pm, with refreshments from 1.50 at the u3a suggested price of 50p. It is advisable to bring a cushion to sit on.
On 27th October, we shall be showing "The Children's Train" an Italian film in which a seven-year old boy named Amerigo who in 1946 leaves his impoverished family in Naples and gets on a train to go live with a wealthier family in the north as part of a postwar initiative to rescue children from poverty.
On 24th November, our film will be "Pan's Labyrinth" Set in 1944 in Franco’s Spain, Ofelia moves with her mother to her stepfather's house. At night, a fairy leads her to a faun who informs her that she is a princess and she needs to participate in three tasks to prove her royalty.
All members of Redbridge and District are welcome to any screening but you MUST book in with me first.
