Thanks to Denise for organising today's (10th July) lovely u3a coach outing to to Felixstowe! We were very comfortable in the sunshine at 22c with a very gentle breeze. A perfect day!

I was fortunate enough to go on the U3A excursion this week to Hastings. Hastings is a lovely quiet Victorian seaside. The Old Town is very interesting and taking one of the two funicular railways up to the Country Park is a must, as spread before you is the entire town. The air is so refreshing. There is also an art gallery and fisherman’s museum.

This enjoyable trip was the last of 3 Redbridge U3a excursions of this summer. Grateful thanks must go to patient Matthew, our coach driver for looking after us so well. Even when he had to deal with a replacement vehicle and driving hell which is the A13! Didn’t loose his cool! Also we must applaud Denise, who so ably yet again organised 3 coach excursions, even though not able to come herself. It is really appreciated.
