Join us for an engaging discussion with the Thames Valley AI Hub, a vibrant community supported by the University of Reading that brings together academics, industry experts, educators, and local leaders to explore the impact and opportunities of artificial intelligence across the Thames Valley region. The Hub connects professionals and enthusiasts to share insights, build collaborations, and accelerate responsible innovation in areas ranging from health and education to business and community initiatives. At this session, you’ll hear about the origins and purpose of the TVAI Hub, how its events programme has developed (from regular panels and workshops to cross-sector exploration), who has been involved — including academic researchers, tech and software companies, and local education stakeholders — and the impact it’s beginning to make on learning and practice in the region. There will also be time for your questions and a lively discussion on the role of AI in education and beyond.

Our AI team’s objective is to acquaint all 430,000 u3a members with AI. If you feel you have the knowledge (completed our online beginners course or equivalent), are an AI Enthusiast, then please join our ever growing team of AI presenters by contacting Barry (u3a AI Subject Adviser)
