Health and safety advice:
Please ensure you have a clear, comfortable space around you, free from obstacles or trip hazards. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and supportive footwear or practise barefoot if safe to do so. Work within your own limits — yoga should feel gentle and relaxing, never painful. If you experience any discomfort, dizziness, or shortness of breath, stop immediately and rest. Participants are encouraged to consult their GP before beginning any new exercise programme, especially if they have existing health conditions. Always listen to your body and adapt the movements to suit your own pace and ability.

About Patricia:

I’m Patricia Hamilton, the u3a Subject Adviser for yoga in the UK. Having practised yoga all my life, I undertook the two year part time Yoga Scotland teacher training course in my ‘3rd Age’ and more recently completed the British Wheel of Yoga’s ‘Gentle Years Yoga’ NVQ. Yoga is an ancient practice which can be enjoyed by anyone, whatever their ‘life stage’ for the many health benefits which can be gained.
