John of u3a Let's Talk Tech explores how supply chains, predictive algorithms, and boots-on-the-ground operations enable parcel delivery.
Session outline
u3a Let’s Talk Tech team member John Butler will deliver this video assisted presentation.
Every day, millions of clicks seamlessly transform into doorstep deliveries. Yet, behind that convenience lies one of the most logistically intense puzzles of the modern era.
John will explore how supply chains, predictive algorithms, and boots-on-the-ground operations collide to solve the "last-mile" problem. Attendees will discover the invisible network making modern e-commerce possible. We will examine everything from dynamic route optimisation to the critical impact of failed delivery attempts.
