This is a participatory Discussion Group, meeting monthly via Zoom.

The books are chosen by the Group from selected short lists, and are a mix of popular mainstream, classic and contemporary. Mostly novels, but occasionally a non-fiction book.

Many written by prize winning and well known authors.

Having an open mind to reading a variety of styles is key and it is expected that groupmembers will all take an active part in the discussions.

Although for your first meeting it will be acceptable to just come along and get familiar with the format, without necessarily reading that month’s book choice!

The books chosen are generally not longer than 350 pages, and often considerably shorter. This is so that members can easily read the books within a month.
